Welcome to the Bar Du Musée
In 1969 Bar Du Musée opened as a tiny French bistro on Nelson Road, Greenwich, with the motto "Fine Wine and Good Food". Today the bistro may have grown into a successful restaurant and nightspot but we hold true to that original concept with a delicious and unpretentious menu that changes with the seasons, and a selection of good value international wine. Many of our customers have grown with us, having been regulars for over 30 years they are testament to our enduring high standards – now bringing their children when they first visited as teenagers. This crowd of regulars creates a convivial atmosphere that is complimented by our enthusiastic staff.Bar Du Musée's anonymous fronting keeps it somewhat of a hidden secret in Greenwich. However the front section opens up into a large, recently refurbished conservatory area where an eclectic mix of furniture and clusters of comfy chesterfields creates a decadent feel. Flooded with natural light, it's the perfect setting for dinner, drinks or a casual Sunday brunch. In the evenings there is a fluid transition from wine bar, to restaurant, to late bar. Outside, split level decking provides an ideal seating area for a sunny day or balmy evening. In summer we fire up the barbeque, serving fresh burgers all day.
We don't have one kind of customer, creating the feeling of a cultural melting pot open to all. We don't serve one kind of menu, so you can choose from traditional French bistro fare or an English Sunday roast. We don't offer one kind of dining experience, allowing you to pop in for a quick coffee one lunchtime and return for a buzzing night-out the following day. We do believe that our excellent food, wine and atmosphere are among the best Greenwich has to offer. We are Bar Du Musée.
